Janet

A van driver saw Janet at the side of the road where she had managed to crawl after being hit by a car. He moved her out of the way of passing cars, put her into his van, took her to the vet and paid the costs for her treatment. Fortunately after xrays and checks she was found to have nothing worse than cuts and bruising. The driver lives in an apartment where dogs are not allowed so after Janet had spent a few days at the clinic, he brought her to our shelter to find her a home. This is the second time this driver has saved a dog’s life and brought it to us and we appreciate so much his help and kindness.

Janet is a sweet little dog who gets on well with other dogs and cats and loves the attention of people. She is looking for a home, perhaps a cosy rug or sofa and a loving family.

Description

All potential adopters will have to undergo a screening and home check process. This can take between 1-10 days dependant on available volunteers to perform your home check. All volunteers for ABLDR are unpaid and do this in their spare time whilst also holding down regular daytime jobs. Please be patient whilst we complete these checks. They are set to protect not only the dog but also you, the adopter, from adopting the wrong dog for your family. If you wish to adopt one of our lovely dogs please fill in an Adoption Application and our dog co-ordinator will be in contact with you very shortly to discuss your request. We aim to contact all new adoption applications within 24 hours and certainly within 48 hours.
