Rendy

Our shelter received a call one day from the local police. Two policemen had found a bag tied up which contained two dogs. The men brought them to the shelter – a small adult and a very little puppy. Unfortunately, the puppy did not survive.

The adult is RENDY. Poor baby, he was terrible scared and wouldn’t let our carers touch him. After a few days, he relaxed enough so that they could take the ‘collar’ from his neck which was difficult because it was thick, strong wire.

Now this little dog is completely changed: he asks to be stroked and loves to be picked up and cuddled. He craves for someone to pay attention to him as they pass his kennel and especially loves to go for a walk on the lead.

He is not a young dog, little Rendy, but he has a lot of love to offer and he is full of vitality. Winter is coming and it would be so good for this little soul not to stay at the shelter – a warm and welcoming home, with good people to help him forget his painful past, is our wish for this sweet boy.

Description

All potential adopters will have to undergo a screening and home check process. This can take between 1-10 days dependant on available volunteers to perform your home check. All volunteers for ABLDR are unpaid and do this in their spare time whilst also holding down regular daytime jobs. Please be patient whilst we complete these checks. They are set to protect not only the dog but also you, the adopter, from adopting the wrong dog for your family. If you wish to adopt one of our lovely dogs please fill in an Adoption Application and our dog co-ordinator will be in contact with you very shortly to discuss your request. We aim to contact all new adoption applications within 24 hours and certainly within 48 hours.
