Beauty and her brother were found as small puppies full of fleas, ticks and lice. Their hair was missing from parts of their bodies and they were in a very bad way. Now, however, after they have been loved and nurtured they are ready to find a home. Beauty is aptly named as she is an absolute beauty - almost pure white with a cute black stripe round the base of her tail. She is very loving with dogs and people. She also loves cats but she wants to play with them (not in an aggressive way) and really she is too big so she is probably better in a home without cats or with a cat who is used to big playful dogs. At the moment when she is eating she doesn’t like other dogs going near. This is sometimes the case with dogs and puppies who have been near to starvation. It often rights itself when they are in their own home and realise they have food on tap and is usually an easy problem to solve. We are looking for a loving family who are used to large (possibly extra large) dogs. Shoulder height 40cm at 3 months

All potential adopters will have to undergo a screening and home check process. This can take between 1-10 days dependant on available volunteers to perform your home check. All volunteers for ABLDR are unpaid and do this in their spare time whilst also holding down regular daytime jobs. Please be patient whilst we complete these checks. They are set to protect not only the dog but also you, the adopter, from adopting the wrong dog for your family. If you wish to adopt one of our lovely dogs please fill in an Adoption Application and our dog co-ordinator will be in contact with you very shortly to discuss your request. We aim to contact all new adoption applications within 24 hours and certainly within 48 hours.
