Starsky and Hutch were thrown over our rescuer’s fence in a bag. She found them as they were trying to get out of it. They both had wounds from dog bites on their head and back, they were scared and weak and had had parts of their tails cut off. They are now healed and are behaving like typical friendly puppies. They love people, dogs and are used to cats. Of course they act like puppies around the cats and sometimes want to play with them but not in an aggressive way. Hutch is the slightly smaller of the two puppies and is friendly and sweet. He is likely to be medium when fully grown. It is likely that he has some Romanian shepherd in his background so we welcome offers from families used to large dogs or similar breeds.

All potential adopters will have to undergo a screening and home check process. This can take between 1-10 days dependant on available volunteers to perform your home check. All volunteers for ABLDR are unpaid and do this in their spare time whilst also holding down regular daytime jobs. Please be patient whilst we complete these checks. They are set to protect not only the dog but also you, the adopter, from adopting the wrong dog for your family. If you wish to adopt one of our lovely dogs please fill in an Adoption Application and our dog co-ordinator will be in contact with you very shortly to discuss your request. We aim to contact all new adoption applications within 24 hours and certainly within 48 hours.
