Our rescuers saw Maudie following a lady with two children and a dog on a lead. They thought Maudie belonged to them but when they turned into a gate she was left outside. They asked if Maudie was theirs and they said she didn’t belong to anyone, she just hung around on the street and followed people around. Our rescuers took her to their home where she is living with their other dogs and cats until she finds her own home.
Maudie is the sweetest little dog, very chilled, she loves her bed and laying in the sun. She is calm around the cats and also good with the dogs, but not particularly interested in playing with them. She loves people very much – a real easy dog. Ideal for her would be a home with no other dogs or very calm ones as she keeps away from the playful dogs.

All potential adopters will have to undergo a screening and home check process. This can take between 1-10 days dependant on available volunteers to perform your home check. All volunteers for ABLDR are unpaid and do this in their spare time whilst also holding down regular daytime jobs. Please be patient whilst we complete these checks. They are set to protect not only the dog but also you, the adopter, from adopting the wrong dog for your family. If you wish to adopt one of our lovely dogs, please fill in an Adoption Application form and one of our adoption team will be in contact with you. We aim to contact all new adoption applications within 48 hours. (Initial contact may be made by email, so please check your email junk folder)
