Pompi was an abandoned dog who liked to hang around the fire station. The firemen fed him and he slept in the fire station yard. One day, however, he was wandering outside and was knocked down by car which damaged his leg. A local lady took him into her home and looked after him until he was well. He is still at her home but can’t stay there. He is fine with dogs on the street but doesn’t like the other dog in the foster home. Therefore, we think Pompi would be better rehomed as an only dog. He is a lively little terrier type, very friendly, who loves to play with a tennis ball. If you would like to offer Pompi a home, please contact us.

(Pompi is approx 7 years old but the date of birth we have given is temporary until he gets a passport)

All potential adopters will have to undergo a screening and home check process. This can take between 1-10 days dependant on available volunteers to perform your home check. All volunteers for ABLDR are unpaid and do this in their spare time whilst also holding down regular daytime jobs. Please be patient whilst we complete these checks. They are set to protect not only the dog but also you, the adopter, from adopting the wrong dog for your family. If you wish to adopt one of our lovely dogs please fill in an Adoption Application and our dog co-ordinator will be in contact with you very shortly to discuss your request. We aim to contact all new adoption applications within 24 hours and certainly within 48 hours.
