Meet sweet Amber ❤️
Amber’s story began when she befriended a little girl on the street and waited outside her school for hours until classes ended. After happily following the girl home, Amber was taken in by a kind neighbour.
Amber is incredibly affectionate, gentle, and deeply people-oriented. Her favourite thing in the world is simply being close to her humans. Eager to please and wonderfully calm, she is an absolute joy to have around.
She currently shares her foster home with other dogs and, although she was initially nervous — especially around larger dogs — she adapted beautifully with time and patience.
Because she forms strong bonds with people and thrives on human companionship, Amber would likely be happiest as the only pet in the home.
She has no separation anxiety, loves peaceful naps near her person, and follows her foster mom everywhere. Amber is also making great progress learning to walk on a lead.
All potential adopters will have to undergo a screening and home check process. This can take between 1-10 days dependant on available volunteers to perform your home check. All volunteers for ABLDR are unpaid and do this in their spare time whilst also holding down regular daytime jobs. Please be patient whilst we complete these checks. They are set to protect not only the dog but also you, the adopter, from adopting the wrong dog for your family.
