Bobby
BOBBY was an abandoned stray who lived for years around an apartment building, being fed, walked and cared for by a retired gentlemen who lived in the building. All was fine until a month ago when new people moved into the building and didn’t want a stray dog around. They complained and Bobby was taken to the public shelter. Luckily for Bobby, a rescuer knew the old man and was able to rescue him.
Bobby is very calm, almost placid, he follows his rescuer around, like he did with the old man, who walked twice a day and Bobby followed him on his walks.
Bobby loves smaller creatures, he is very gentle with cats and smaller dogs, but he is afraid of large males. He is non confrontation with other dogs and loves affection from humans.
(The public shelter vet estimated his age around nine years, but our vet thinks he can’t be more than 5-6 years old.)
Description
All potential adopters will have to undergo a screening and home check process. This can take between 1-10 days dependant on available volunteers to perform your home check. All volunteers for ABLDR are unpaid and do this in their spare time whilst also holding down regular daytime jobs. Please be patient whilst we complete these checks. They are set to protect not only the dog but also you, the adopter, from adopting the wrong dog for your family. If you wish to adopt one of our lovely dogs, please fill in an Adoption Application form and one of our adoption team will be in contact with you.
