Thor was found abandoned for the first time in front of a car repair centre next to the shelter. Still a young puppy he followed the rescuers back to the shelter and they took him inside. Later a worker from the service centre came and asked for the dog, saying that he was the owner and took Thor away. A year later, the grown up puppy was back again, this time sitting in front of the shelter. When the rescuers asked the worker, he said that he didn’t want the dog any more, because he grew too big …
Thor has been at the shelter ever since which is such a shame because he is a lovely boy, so good with everyone – including cats. Surely after waiting all this time he deserves another chance of a home.
All potential adopters will have to undergo a screening and home check process. This can take between 1-10 days dependant on available volunteers to perform your home check. All volunteers for ABLDR are unpaid and do this in their spare time whilst also holding down regular daytime jobs. Please be patient whilst we complete these checks. They are set to protect not only the dog but also you, the adopter, from adopting the wrong dog for your family.
