Juliette
Juliette was found in the forest by our rescuers, with a rope tied around her neck. She was very scared of humans and it took three weeks before they were able to catch her. They gave her a safe den in their house where she stayed for a week just watching. After a while she started to take an interest in the other dogs in the house and gradually allowed herself to be lightly touched. It has taken time, but now she sleeps on our rescuer’s bed and goes to sleep in her arms. She’s loving with people she knows, but still shy with strangers initially – although she soon warms up. Every day she shows more improvement and is enjoying, so much, the love and attention she’s being given. She’s a real sweetheart who is good with cats and dogs but seems to prefer people.
We now think she is ready to find a permanent home. We feel that she needs an experienced home who will help her to continue to grow in confidence and give her the time and patience needed to settle into a new family.
Description
All potential adopters will have to undergo a screening and home check process. This can take between 1-10 days dependant on available volunteers to perform your home check. All volunteers for ABLDR are unpaid and do this in their spare time whilst also holding down regular daytime jobs. Please be patient whilst we complete these checks. They are set to protect not only the dog but also you, the adopter, from adopting the wrong dog for your family. If you wish to adopt one of our lovely dogs, please fill in an Adoption Application form and one of our adoption team will be in contact with you.
