Azor
Our rescuers found Azor near the village school, living on the generosity of the schoolchildren and local people – at night sleeping under some bushes. He was very friendly, people found him cute, but nobody wanted to take him home. So our rescuers took him to their home. They took him to the vet and found out he was chipped and had an owner. They phoned the owner who told them she didn’t want him any more and had given him away to someone months ago who had obviously not kept him. The lady agreed to sign Azor over to our rescuers and he is now safe in their home living with several dogs and cats.
Azor is very sweet, friendly with people and placid with the dogs and cats. He has his grumpy moments sometimes, 8 dogs and 6 cats under the same roof is a lot for a little old guy like him, but he is getting used to it. He tested positive for Ehrlichia, which is a tick borne disease treated by a month of antibiotics and he has already been given this medication.
Description
All potential adopters will have to undergo a screening and home check process. This can take between 1-10 days dependant on available volunteers to perform your home check. All volunteers for ABLDR are unpaid and do this in their spare time whilst also holding down regular daytime jobs. Please be patient whilst we complete these checks. They are set to protect not only the dog but also you, the adopter, from adopting the wrong dog for your family. If you wish to adopt one of our lovely dogs, please fill in an Adoption Application form and one of our adoption team will be in contact with you.
