Sidney

Sidney’s story is a bit of a rollercoaster ride. He was first found as a cute little puppy by a colleague of one of our rescuers, who gave him to a family with two children. At first, everything seemed perfect, but as Sidney grew up, his puppy behaviour became too much for the family. They didn’t want to deal with his digging and chewing, so they came up with a pretty selfish solution: they left him on the street outside their house.

Luckily, his rescuer discovered what was going on and stepped in. She demanded the family take proper responsibility for him. They refused as they obviously didn’t want him any more and gave him up.

Now Sidney is being looked after in the home of one of our Rescuers. Despite his rough start, Sidney is a happy-go-lucky, friendly pup who adjusts quickly to new surroundings. He gets along with all the dogs in the house and instantly attaches to people. We think he’d thrive in any family, but he’d be especially happy with a dog companion to keep him company and prevent boredom. Just one thing to note: Sidney is not a fan of cats, so a cat-free home would be best for him.

Description

All potential adopters will have to undergo a screening and home check process. This can take between 1-10 days dependant on available volunteers to perform your home check. All volunteers for ABLDR are unpaid and do this in their spare time whilst also holding down regular daytime jobs. Please be patient whilst we complete these checks. They are set to protect not only the dog but also you, the adopter, from adopting the wrong dog for your family. If you wish to adopt one of our lovely dogs, please fill in an Adoption Application form and one of our adoption team will be in contact with you. We aim to contact all new adoption applications within 48 hours. (Initial contact may be made by email, so please check your email junk folder)
