Vanilla
Vanilla is a super sweet little boy who absolutely loves cuddles. When out, he walks well on the lead and when you stop, he sits down and waits. Vanilla has been on a few adventures around town and is good in new environments. If he gets nervous, he just looks up to you for a reassuring touch. He travels calmly in the car, in a crate.
When Vanilla walks, he has an unusual gait with his back legs although he runs and plays normally. This has been investigated by the shelter vets and also a specialist orthopaedic vet has examined him. In summary: there is nothing requiring orthopaedic surgery or treatment – the vets believe Vanilla will always walk in this way and it causes him no problems. Furthest details, x rays and vets reports can be provided. Vanilla is sociable with other dogs and shares his kennel space with a female. He loves playing in the park with the other dogs. We think he will make a wonderful child friendly family dog.
Description
All potential adopters will have to undergo a screening and home check process. This can take between 1-10 days dependant on available volunteers to perform your home check. All volunteers for ABLDR are unpaid and do this in their spare time whilst also holding down regular daytime jobs. Please be patient whilst we complete these checks. They are set to protect not only the dog but also you, the adopter, from adopting the wrong dog for your family. If you wish to adopt one of our lovely dogs, please fill in an Adoption Application form and one of our adoption team will be in contact with you.
