Alba
Alba was found, heavily pregnant, in the yard of the City Hospital. She was taken to the veterinary clinic where she gave birth, almost immediately, to seven beautiful puppies. Fortunately we were able to find a foster home for Alba and her puppies until the babies. Now her babies are old enough to find homes of their own and Alba would love to find her own family too.
Alba is a little scared when meeting new people but does warm up after a short while and is actually a very friendly dog with people and other dogs. Because of her initial timidness, however, we would like to find an adopter who has previously had dogs and has the experience, time and patience to help Alba settle into a new home and feel more confident when meeting strangers.
Description
All potential adopters will have to undergo a screening and home check process. This can take between 1-10 days dependant on available volunteers to perform your home check. All volunteers for ABLDR are unpaid and do this in their spare time whilst also holding down regular daytime jobs. Please be patient whilst we complete these checks. They are set to protect not only the dog but also you, the adopter, from adopting the wrong dog for your family. If you wish to adopt one of our lovely dogs, please fill in an Adoption Application form and one of our adoption team will be in contact with you.
