Arnie
Arnie was found walking the streets. With no chip, no local resident knowing him, no owner enquiries, he is now living at the shelter He is a typical labrador (or lab mix) – obsessed with food, super friendly, a little strong on the lead but he walks well. He’s confident and easy to be with. Arnie travels fine in the car in a transport crate. When walking in the town, he was calm and confident in new environments, sniffing about and exploring. Arnie is fairly socialable with other dogs – he can walk on the lead with other dogs and if he approaches them slowly there is no reaction. If the other dog is reactive however, he will react back. Arnie would be best in a home as the only dog with an owner who is happy for lead only walks around other dogs. He really is a super companion dog, he just wants to be with people and not dogs!
Description
All potential adopters will have to undergo a screening and home check process. This can take between 1-10 days dependant on available volunteers to perform your home check. All volunteers for ABLDR are unpaid and do this in their spare time whilst also holding down regular daytime jobs. Please be patient whilst we complete these checks. They are set to protect not only the dog but also you, the adopter, from adopting the wrong dog for your family. If you wish to adopt one of our lovely dogs, please fill in an Adoption Application form and one of our adoption team will be in contact with you.
