Dove
Dove and her daughter were living on the streets in a local village and came to the front of our rescuers’ house where they put out food and water for strays. Our rescuers decided to try to catch them to take them to be spayed so they didn’t end up having puppies. They thought it might be difficult to approach them but the two dogs meekly followed them straight into their garden to safety.
Dove turned out to be very docile and friendly – very good natured. She can be a bit hit and miss with female dogs but good with male dogs, very loving with people but she barks at cats. Dove would prefer a very calm, quiet home with no children or cats.
Description
All potential adopters will have to undergo a screening and home check process. This can take between 1-10 days dependant on available volunteers to perform your home check. All volunteers for ABLDR are unpaid and do this in their spare time whilst also holding down regular daytime jobs. Please be patient whilst we complete these checks. They are set to protect not only the dog but also you, the adopter, from adopting the wrong dog for your family. If you wish to adopt one of our lovely dogs, please fill in an Adoption Application form and one of our adoption team will be in contact with you.
