Pretty Polly is looking for her forever home and family.
She is currently being fostered in Oxfordshire, living with 3 other dogs.
When Polly arrived at her foster home, she was very scared and nervous , but giving her time to do things at her own pace, she has become more confident. She will sit and wait to have her harness put on, and enjoys her walks. Occasionally, if unsure of her surroundings, she shows signs of nervousness and pulls on the lead but this has improved in the four weeks she has been in foster so, hopefully, with time, patience and training she will become fully confident. When visitors come to the house, Polly will bark and becomes anxious, but ignoring her behaviour, she soon settles.
Polly is a lively, very energetic and athletic dog, who loves to play with her tug, chase with the other dogs or amuse herself with her toys.
When off lead, she does like to follow interesting scents and smells so further recall training is needed.
Polly likes nothing more than to cosy up with her foster family and dogs, and especially likes a lap!
An ideal family for Polly, would be one that has experience in nervous and bouncy dogs, but definitely a family that can show her love, care and patience and allow her time to flourish in her own time, into the beautiful dog she will become. A family who already have a dog would be perfect for Polly.
If you’re interested in Polly, and prepared to put in the time for more training, along with lots love and care, then please contact us.
Polly is a beautiful inside and out, full of sunshine and sparkle, and definitely deserves her own forever home and family😊❤️

All potential adopters will have to undergo a screening and home check process. This can take between 1-10 days dependant on available volunteers to perform your home check. All volunteers for ABLDR are unpaid and do this in their spare time whilst also holding down regular daytime jobs. Please be patient whilst we complete these checks. They are set to protect not only the dog but also you, the adopter, from adopting the wrong dog for your family. If you wish to adopt one of our lovely dogs, please fill in an Adoption Application form and one of our adoption team will be in contact with you. We aim to contact all new adoption applications within 48 hours. (Initial contact may be made by email, so please check your email junk folder)
