Rara
RARA lived with an elderly lady who took very good care of her, keeping her indoors close to her. So it’s no wonder that Rara is friendly, cuddly and good with people. Sadly, a couple of months ago, her owner died and her family moved into her house. Rara was no longer welcomed indoors, so they chained her to a tree in the garden. Our rescuers heard about her situation and went to speak with the family who were quite willing to give her up.
She is now living at her rescuer’s home where she has had to adjust to living with a lot of dogs and cats. She was shy at the beginning – afraid of the larger dogs and a bit of a bully with the small ones. Now she is a little more relaxed and tries to play with the puppies but she doesn’t really know how as she has always been an only dog. She is, however, great around the cats.
We think a suitable home for her would be as an only dog.
Description
All potential adopters will have to undergo a screening and home check process. This can take between 1-10 days dependant on available volunteers to perform your home check. All volunteers for ABLDR are unpaid and do this in their spare time whilst also holding down regular daytime jobs. Please be patient whilst we complete these checks. They are set to protect not only the dog but also you, the adopter, from adopting the wrong dog for your family. If you wish to adopt one of our lovely dogs, please fill in an Adoption Application form and one of our adoption team will be in contact with you.
